Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Sales
- Identify, prospect, and secure new commercial insurance opportunities through strategic networking, referrals, and business development activities.
- Build and maintain a profitable book of business that generates recurring commission income.
- Establish strong relationships with business owners, executives, and key decision-makers.
- Present customized insurance solutions designed to address client needs and risk exposures.
- Conduct professional sales presentations and negotiate coverage solutions with prospective clients.
- Develop opportunities within assigned industries, target markets, and self-generated prospect lists.
- Consistently achieve or exceed new business and revenue objectives.
Client Relationship Management
- Deliver a consultative sales approach focused on long-term client partnerships.
- Identify opportunities for additional coverage solutions and cross-selling initiatives.
- Collaborate with service teams to support client retention and account growth.
- Maintain regular communication with clients and prospects to strengthen relationships and uncover new opportunities.
Pipeline & Market Management
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, opportunities, and forecasts within CRM systems.
- Monitor industry trends, market conditions, and emerging risks to identify new business opportunities.
- Participate in networking events, industry associations, and community activities to expand professional connections and generate leads.
- Provide regular pipeline updates, sales forecasts, and market feedback to leadership.
Qualifications
- Proven success in business-to-business sales, business development, insurance sales, or other commission-based environments.
- Demonstrated ability to prospect, generate leads, and close new business opportunities.
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong accountability and self-motivation.
- Comfortable working in a performance-based compensation structure.
- Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
- Experience using CRM systems to manage sales pipelines and client activities is considered an asset.
- Comfortable conducting business both virtually and in person.
- Resilient, competitive, and driven to achieve long-term financial success.
- Experience leveraging professional networking platforms, including LinkedIn, for business development is considered an asset.

Salary Information
Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.
Expected salary range: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 annually + commission.
