An established and growing insurance organization is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Insurance Manager to lead its Small Business Division. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading a high-performing team, overseeing portfolio quality, strengthening insurer relationships, and supporting the continued growth and success of the commercial insurance division.

Key Responsibilities

‍

• Oversee the day-to-day operations, workflows, and performance of the Small Business Commercial Insurance team.
• Lead, mentor, and support team members with a focus on professional development, accountability, and service excellence.
• Provide coaching and ongoing guidance to promote employee growth and effectiveness.
• Review and oversee the commercial insurance portfolio to ensure risk quality, underwriting integrity, and service standards are maintained.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with insurance carrier partners.
• Collaborate with internal departments to ensure operational consistency and an exceptional client experience.
• Support team members with complex account management and risk placement activities.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and key performance indicators to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
• Provide technical guidance on complex commercial risks and coverage solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry best practices.

Qualifications

‍

• Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience.
• Previous leadership experience, including team management, coaching, and employee development.
• Strong knowledge of small business commercial insurance products and coverages.
• Commercial underwriting experience is considered an asset.
• Excellent understanding of commercial insurance policy wordings and coverage interpretation.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective insurer and stakeholder relationships.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
• CIP designation completed or in progress is preferred.
• RIBO license required or ability to obtain.

Salary Information

‍

Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.

‍

Expected salary range: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 annually.
