The Opportunity
Our client, a well-established and growing commercial insurance brokerage, is seeking ambitious sales professionals to join its Commercial Sales team. This role offers an opportunity to build a long-term, renewable income stream through new business development while being supported by an experienced service, marketing, and leadership team.

The role focuses on selling commercial property & casualty insurance and risk management solutions to business owners and senior decision-makers across the Greater Toronto Area and surrounding Ontario markets.

Key Responsibilities
New Business Development
- Prospect, develop, and close new commercial insurance opportunities through networking, referrals, and strategic business development.
- Build and maintain a profitable book of business that generates recurring revenue.
- Identify opportunities within assigned and self-developed target markets.
- Consistently achieve or exceed sales and revenue objectives.
- Manage a structured pipeline of prospects and opportunities through CRM systems.
Client Relationship Management
- Develop trusted relationships with business owners, executives, and senior decision-makers.
- Conduct discovery meetings to identify client risks, insurance needs, and business objectives.
- Present tailored insurance and risk management solutions.
- Negotiate and secure new business opportunities.
- Partner with internal service teams to support client retention and account growth.
Market Development
- Attend networking events, industry functions, and business development initiatives.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging risks, and market opportunities.
- Provide sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market insights to leadership.

Qualifications
Industry-Experienced Profile
- Commercial Lines insurance sales experience preferred.
- Personal Lines sales professionals with strong business development experience may also be considered.
- Active RIBO license, or ability to obtain one before start date.
- Demonstrated success generating and closing new business opportunities.
- Strong understanding of consultative sales methodologies.
B2B Sales Professional Profile
- Proven success in business-to-business sales environments.
- Experience selling to business owners and senior-level decision-makers.
- Strong prospecting and hunter mentality.
- Ability to manage longer sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Interest in building a long-term career within commercial insurance.
Additional Requirements
- Post-secondary education or equivalent professional experience.
- Strong communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
- Experience with CRM systems is considered an asset.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Valid driver’s licence and access to reliable transportation.

Salary Information
Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.
Expected salary range: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 annually + commission.
