The Opportunity

Our client, a growing and relationship-focused insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Account Executive / Producer to join its commercial insurance team.

This role is responsible for generating new business opportunities, managing commercial client relationships, and delivering strategic insurance and risk management solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong business development skills with exceptional client service to build and maintain a profitable portfolio of commercial accounts.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Sales

  • Develop and execute strategic business development plans to achieve individual production goals.
  • Identify, pursue, and secure new commercial insurance opportunities through networking, referrals, and prospecting activities.
  • Conduct client discovery meetings to assess insurance requirements, operational risks, and business objectives.
  • Present insurance solutions and risk management recommendations tailored to client needs.
  • Build and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients and business opportunities.

Client Relationship Management

  • Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial insurance clients.
  • Maintain regular contact with clients to review coverage needs and identify growth opportunities.
  • Respond to client inquiries and provide professional guidance regarding insurance solutions and risk management strategies.
  • Support clients throughout the policy lifecycle, including renewals, coverage reviews, and claims-related matters.

Marketing & Placement

  • Coordinate the marketing and placement of new and renewal business with insurance markets.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and underwriting partners to secure competitive and appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Provide accurate and comprehensive information to insurers to facilitate underwriting decisions.
  • Review coverage options and negotiate terms that align with client objectives.

Portfolio Management

  • Monitor account performance and support retention strategies.
  • Assist with receivables management and account follow-up activities.
  • Maintain accurate documentation, activity records, and client information within brokerage systems.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and brokerage procedures.

Team Collaboration

  • Work closely with service teams and technical insurance professionals to deliver exceptional client experiences.
  • Share market intelligence, technical knowledge, and best practices with colleagues.
  • Participate in training and professional development initiatives.
  • Contribute to operational improvements and service excellence initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Commercial insurance brokerage experience with a strong focus on client management and business development.
  • Active RIBO license in good standing.
  • Proven success generating and retaining commercial insurance business.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products and risk management principles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.

Salary Information

Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.

Expected salary range: $140,000.00 – $160,000.00 annually + commission.
