The Opportunity

Our client, a growing and well-respected insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced Commercial Insurance Operations Manager to lead a commercial support team responsible for servicing and processing commercial insurance accounts.

This leadership position is ideal for an experienced commercial insurance professional who enjoys developing people, improving operational processes, and ensuring exceptional service delivery. The successful candidate will oversee day-to-day workflow management, support team development, and act as a resource for complex service and processing matters.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and support a team of commercial insurance service professionals.
  • Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment focused on service excellence.
  • Provide ongoing mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities.
  • Conduct performance reviews and support employee growth through regular feedback and coaching.

Operations & Workflow Management

  • Oversee daily service and processing activities to ensure efficiency, accuracy, and adherence to service standards.
  • Monitor workloads and allocate resources to support operational effectiveness.
  • Identify opportunities to improve workflows, processes, and service delivery.
  • Implement operational enhancements that increase team productivity and client satisfaction.

Client Service & Technical Support

  • Act as an escalation point for complex client service issues and processing challenges.
  • Support the resolution of technical insurance questions and difficult account situations.
  • Ensure timely completion of policy transactions, endorsements, documentation, renewals, and related service activities.
  • Maintain high standards of professionalism when supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

Administrative & Operational Support

  • Assist with reporting, quality control initiatives, and departmental projects.
  • Provide operational coverage during absences and peak workload periods.
  • Support compliance, documentation, and process consistency across the department.
  • Contribute to strategic initiatives aimed at improving overall service performance.

Qualifications

  • Active RIBO license in good standing.
  • Significant experience within a commercial insurance brokerage environment.
  • Previous leadership, supervisory, or management experience.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance servicing, processing, and workflow management.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • High attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
  • Proficiency with brokerage management systems and standard business software applications.

Salary Information

Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.

Expected salary range: $110,000.00 – $130,000.00 annually.
