An established and growing independent insurance brokerage is seeking an entrepreneurial and relationship-driven Personal Lines Sales Broker to join its team.
This opportunity is ideal for an individual who enjoys building a book of business, developing meaningful client relationships, and creating opportunities through networking, referrals, and business development activities. Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Generate and develop new personal insurance business through proactive prospecting and relationship-building activities.
- Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities through networking, referrals, community engagement, and strategic business development efforts.
- Identify client needs and recommend tailored insurance solutions across a range of personal insurance products.
- Prepare and present insurance quotations while clearly communicating coverage recommendations and value propositions.
- Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and discovery through policy placement and client onboarding.
- Develop and maintain long-term client relationships focused on trust, retention, and account growth.
- Collaborate with insurer partners to secure competitive coverage solutions.
- Stay informed on market trends, carrier appetites, and industry developments to provide value-added advice to clients.
Client Management & Operations
- Maintain accurate client records and sales activity within brokerage systems and CRM platforms.
- Ensure compliance with licensing requirements, regulatory standards, and brokerage procedures.
- Utilize digital sales tools and technology to support business development and client engagement initiatives.
- Contribute positively to a collaborative and client-focused team environment.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of insurance experience, preferably within a brokerage and personal lines environment.
- Proven ability to generate new business and develop client relationships independently.
- Strong entrepreneurial mindset with a high degree of self-motivation and accountability.
- Demonstrated success achieving or exceeding sales targets and business development objectives.
- Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team environment.
- Experience utilizing brokerage technology platforms, CRM systems, and digital sales tools.
- Insurance licensing required.
- Existing referral networks and business development experience considered strong assets.
- CIP designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.

Salary Information
Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.
Expected salary range: $55,000.00 – $75,000.00 annually + commission.
