About the Opportunity

An established and growing independent insurance brokerage is seeking a relationship-focused Personal Lines Account Manager to join its team.

This role combines exceptional client service with organic business development and is ideal for an insurance professional who enjoys building long-term relationships while identifying opportunities to strengthen and expand client accounts. Rather than focusing on heavy prospecting or cold outreach, growth in this position is driven through referrals, existing client relationships, cross-selling opportunities, and delivering an outstanding client experience.

The successful candidate will serve as a trusted advisor to clients while contributing to the continued growth and success of the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Account Management

  • Manage and service a portfolio of personal insurance clients across a variety of personal insurance products.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for client inquiries, policy changes, renewals, and coverage consultations.
  • Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships focused on retention and service excellence.
  • Conduct policy reviews and proactively identify changes in client needs, exposures, and coverage requirements.
  • Prepare insurance quotations and recommend appropriate coverage enhancements and solutions.
  • Support policy placement and coordinate with insurer partners to secure competitive coverage options.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and client records in accordance with brokerage standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Navigate insurer portals and brokerage systems efficiently to ensure a seamless client experience.

Relationship Growth & Business Development

  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships through cross-selling and account rounding activities.
  • Generate organic growth through referrals, client introductions, and trusted advisory conversations.
  • Strengthen household relationships by identifying opportunities to consolidate and enhance coverage solutions.
  • Support branch and organizational growth initiatives while maintaining a client-first approach.
  • Foster long-term relationships that encourage client loyalty and referral activity.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 4–5 years of personal lines insurance experience.
  • Strong experience in account management, client servicing, renewals, and relationship development.
  • Solid understanding of personal insurance products, coverages, and policy interpretation.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and convert organic growth opportunities within an existing client portfolio.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and consultative selling skills.
  • Comfortable making recommendations and discussing additional coverage options in a natural and client-focused manner.
  • Experience working with insurer portals and brokerage management systems.
  • Insurance licensing required.
  • CIP designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.

Salary Information

Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.

Expected salary range: $50,000.00 – $65,000.00 annually + commission.
