The Opportunity

Our client, an established independent insurance brokerage, is seeking an experienced insurance professional to join its client service team.

This role is ideal for a licensed broker who enjoys building long-term client relationships, delivering personalized insurance advice, and managing a diverse portfolio of personal and small business accounts. The successful candidate will act as a trusted advisor, providing ongoing service, coverage guidance, and risk management support throughout the client lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as the primary contact for an assigned portfolio of clients.
  • Provide professional advice regarding coverage options, policy changes, and risk management strategies.
  • Respond to client inquiries and service requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and service excellence.
  • Support new business opportunities through quoting, onboarding, and account development activities.

Policy Management & Advisory Services

  • Review renewals and recommend appropriate coverage solutions.
  • Conduct remarketing activities when required to ensure competitive and suitable insurance programs.
  • Assist clients with policy changes, endorsements, and account maintenance.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance coverage and provide additional insurance solutions where appropriate.

Claims & Regulatory Support

  • Assist clients throughout the claims process and provide guidance when claims arise.
  • Coordinate with insurance carriers to support efficient claims handling and resolution.
  • Maintain compliance with licensing requirements, regulatory standards, and brokerage procedures.
  • Stay informed of industry developments and product changes.

Collaboration & Professional Development

  • Contribute to a positive and team-oriented work environment.
  • Share knowledge and support colleagues when needed.
  • Participate in ongoing education and professional development initiatives.
  • Identify opportunities to improve client service processes and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Required

  • Active RIBO license in good standing.
  • Minimum five years of experience within a personal insurance and/or small commercial insurance brokerage environment.
  • Strong communication, relationship-management, and client-service skills.
  • Excellent organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency with common business software applications.
  • Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities.

Preferred

  • Experience with account development, cross-selling, and client retention initiatives.
  • Familiarity with small business insurance risks and coverage solutions.
  • Experience using brokerage management platforms and insurance technology systems.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.

Salary Information

Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.

Expected salary range: $65,000.00 – $85,000.00 annually.
