An established and highly respected specialty commercial insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager or Account Executive (title commensurate with experience) to join its growing team.

Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Account Management

  • Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, including renewals, marketing, servicing, and placement of specialty coverages.
  • Deliver responsive and proactive service while maintaining high client retention and satisfaction levels.
  • Review client operations, exposures, claims experience, and insurance requirements to provide strategic risk management recommendations.
  • Coordinate policy changes, endorsements, certificates, binders, statements of values, cancellations, and other account documentation.
  • Work closely with internal support teams to ensure efficient account administration and service delivery.
  • Maintain accurate client records and workflow documentation within brokerage management systems.

Market Relations & Business Development

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with insurance carriers and underwriting partners.
  • Market accounts and negotiate competitive terms, pricing, and coverage solutions.
  • Participate in business development initiatives, presentations, proposals, and client meetings as appropriate based on experience and role level.
  • Collaborate with internal specialty practice groups to deliver comprehensive client solutions.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and support organic growth initiatives.

Professional Development

  • Continue to develop technical expertise across commercial insurance products and industry segments.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development programs.
  • Share knowledge and mentor less experienced team members where appropriate.
  • Contribute to a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Construction insurance experience strongly preferred.
  • RIBO license required.
  • CIP and/or CAIB designation preferred.
  • Strong understanding of commercial insurance products, coverages, and policy wordings.
  • Proven client relationship management and business development abilities.
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Ability to mentor and support colleagues.
  • Advanced organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and brokerage management systems.

Salary Information

Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.

Expected salary range: $130,000.00 – $150,000 annually.
