Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager
An established and growing insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its commercial insurance team. This role is ideal for a seasoned insurance professional who enjoys managing complex client relationships, contributing to business growth initiatives, and mentoring others while delivering exceptional client service.
The successful candidate will manage a substantial renewal portfolio, support business development efforts, and play a key role in achieving departmental objectives while maintaining the highest standards of client care and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Service
- Manage and service a commercial lines book of business, ensuring exceptional client satisfaction and retention.
- Coordinate renewal strategies and account planning in partnership with Producers well in advance of renewal dates.
- Collaborate with Producers to address client needs, resolve issues, and identify opportunities for growth.
- Ensure timely and accurate servicing, documentation, and billing of commercial accounts.
- Review policy wordings and coverage details to ensure clients receive accurate advice and appropriate protection.
- Market accounts and assist in securing competitive coverage solutions when required.
- Identify opportunities for account rounding, cross-selling, and organic growth within existing client relationships.
- Maintain accurate client records and workflow documentation in accordance with brokerage standards and compliance requirements.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, and internal stakeholders.
- Support department initiatives, projects, and continuous improvement efforts.
Professional Development & Leadership
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
- Share technical knowledge and support team learning initiatives where appropriate.
- Contribute to a collaborative, positive, and high-performing team culture.
- Support organizational growth objectives through active participation in business development and client retention strategies.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of commercial insurance experience.
- RIBO license required.
- College or University education preferred.
- CIP and/or CAIB designation completed or in progress is considered an asset.
- Strong technical knowledge of commercial insurance products, coverages, and policy wordings.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Proficiency with brokerage management systems and Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Salary Information
Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.
Expected salary range: $80,000.00 – $100,000.00 annually.
