Our client is a well-established, diverse, and fast-paced brokerage located in Markham, Ontario. With a strong reputation for excellence and a collaborative work culture, we are currently seeking an experienced Senior Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative to join our growing team.

Position Overview

‍

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years of experience in commercial insurance and possess strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills. This role requires technical knowledge in various commercial products such as Builders Risk, Errors & Omissions (E&O), Directors & Officers (D&O), Fleets, Commercial General Liability (CGL), and Property. The primary objective of this role is to provide outstanding service and support for a substantial book of commercial business.

Key Responsibilities

‍

• Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to routine client inquiries via phone and email.
• Collaborate closely with producers to coordinate new business and renewal strategies and negotiations.
• Thoroughly review and interpret policy wordings to ensure accurate communication and service delivery to clients.
• Identify opportunities to recommend additional coverage based on client needs, ensuring comprehensive protection.
• Invoice client accounts and ensure timely receipt of payments.

Qualifications

‍

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial lines insurance.
• RIBO license is required (or must be obtained as a condition of employment); candidates with underwriting or insurer experience will be considered.
• Strong technical knowledge across all lines of commercial insurance.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Post-secondary education and/or industry designations (e.g., CAIB, CIP) are preferred.
