An established and highly respected specialty insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Surety Account Manager to join its growing team. Key Responsibilities

Client Service & Account Management

  • Deliver exceptional service to an assigned portfolio of surety clients.
  • Manage the day-to-day servicing and administration of surety accounts.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships while understanding their evolving business needs.
  • Proactively manage surety facility requirements and identify opportunities to enhance client solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to provide integrated risk management and insurance solutions.

Underwriting & Financial Analysis

  • Conduct financial analysis and support underwriting activities for assigned accounts.
  • Prepare high-quality market submissions and underwriting documentation.
  • Review financial statements and related information to support risk assessment and placement strategies.
  • Develop innovative and effective solutions to address client requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of market conditions, underwriting appetites, and surety trends.

Business Development & Market Relations

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with surety markets, underwriting partners, and industry stakeholders.
  • Represent the organization professionally at industry events, meetings, and networking opportunities.
  • Participate in client meetings, underwriting discussions, and business development initiatives.
  • Support the continued growth and success of the surety practice through relationship management and client retention efforts.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of surety brokerage or surety underwriting experience.
  • RIBO license required.
  • ACSB designation is considered an asset.
  • Finance, accounting, or related business education is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and financial analysis.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders in a collaborative manner.
  • Comfortable working independently while contributing to a team-oriented environment.
  • Strong presentation and client-facing skills.

Salary Information

Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.

Expected salary range: $140,000.00 – $160,000.00 annually.
