Senior / Intermediate Commercial Lines Account Manager
About the Opportunity
An established and respected insurance brokerage is seeking an experienced Commercial Lines Account Manager to join its growing team. This role is ideal for a client-focused insurance professional who thrives in a collaborative environment and enjoys managing complex commercial insurance accounts while delivering exceptional client service.
The successful candidate will play a key role in servicing a substantial portfolio of commercial clients, supporting business development initiatives, and providing expert guidance on a wide range of commercial insurance products and coverages.
Key Responsibilities
Client Service & Account Management
- Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to client inquiries via phone and email.
- Manage and service a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts, ensuring a high standard of client care.
- Collaborate closely with producers and internal stakeholders to develop new business and renewal strategies.
- Support negotiations and placement activities with insurance carriers and underwriting partners.
- Review and interpret policy wordings to ensure accurate coverage explanations and service delivery.
- Identify opportunities to recommend additional products, coverages, and risk management solutions based on client needs.
- Prepare and maintain accurate client documentation and records.
- Process account transactions and coordinate policy changes, renewals, and endorsements.
- Assist with invoicing activities and support the timely collection of premium payments.
- Maintain strong working relationships with clients, insurers, and industry partners.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of commercial insurance experience.
- RIBO license required or ability to obtain as a condition of employment.
- Candidates with underwriting or insurance carrier experience will also be considered.
- Strong technical knowledge across a broad range of commercial insurance products and coverages.
- Experience with commercial property, liability, professional liability, management liability, fleet, and construction-related insurance products is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Post-secondary education and/or industry designations such as CAIB or CIP are considered assets.

Salary Information
Compensation for the successful candidate will be determined by our client and may vary based on several factors, including local market conditions, geographic location, and job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, experience, education, and credentials.
Expected salary range: $70,000.00 – $90,000.00 annually.
